Choose a power arrangement only after you have an exact machine in mind. Confirm compatibility from both makers' documents, then decide how a cable, foot control or charging routine will fit the workstation and the way you move around it.

Wired or battery-powered?

Wired or battery-powered?
Arrangement Questions to settle before buying
Separate wired supply Where will the supply sit? Which machine cable and any foot control are supported? Can the cable be routed without crossing a walking path or interfering with the station?
Battery or wireless unit Does the maker confirm compatibility with the exact machine? What charger, spare battery or charging interval is specified? Where will charging happen between sessions?

Neither arrangement removes the need to plan the whole setup. A wired configuration makes cable routing part of the room plan; a battery configuration makes charging and the maker's stated operating conditions part of the session plan.

Confirm the connections and startup requirements

Check the exact connector at each end, any adapter or startup cable, the machine's stated input requirements and whether a pedal is included or optional. Do not assume a plug that fits proves electrical or functional compatibility. Cheyenne's Power Unit I and II instructions, for example, specify a supported setup and warn about cable trip hazards; apply the manual for your own equipment rather than transferring that instruction to another supply.

Do a proposed layout check

Before ordering, place the machine, supply, controls and client furniture on a room sketch. Mark the route for cables or the charging location and identify where spares will be kept.

With the station empty, rehearse the usual movement around the bed or chair and check whether a cable pulls, catches or crosses a path. For a battery setup, rehearse where a depleted unit would go and how a charged spare would be available. Ask the manufacturer or supplier to resolve any missing compatibility detail in writing.

Save the exact model manuals with your equipment records. Start with the machine guide and add the supply to the studio equipment list.
